Highers · 2027 entry · 10 Scottish universities
What can you get into with BDDDD Highers?
Grades are only half of it. Loads of courses also want specific Highers, so every subject area below says which ones.
where BDDDD meets the standard grade offer, out of 1,506.
+5 more where you're one grade short.
No course's standard offer is met by BDDDD on its own. Check the widening access and one-grade-short numbers above, or open the calculator.

Got Advanced Highers too?
This page only counts Highers. Some offers also ask for Advanced Highers, usually for pupils applying in S6, and those courses aren't in the numbers above.
None of the courses that want Advanced Highers are within reach of BDDDD on the Highers side. Add them in the calculator as Advanced Highers and it'll count them properly.
Your subjects decide the rest
Put your actual subjects in the calculator and it'll tell you exactly which of these you get, plus the ones you're one grade off.

How it's worked out
Your grades go against each course's standard offer, best grade to best grade, the same way the calculator does it. Offers only care about the grades, so any B counts as a B. Courses that ask for Advanced Highers aren't counted here. The subject numbers come from the requirements on each uni's own course pages, checked in September 2026. Always check the course page before you apply, because requirements can change.
